WAPDA Introduction:
Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority WAPDA is an autonomous and independent body of the Federal Government which is maintaining the utilities of Water and Power in the state. It was established after the independence through an act in 1958
WAPDA owns the biggest dams and actively controls and operates the demands and needs of the Commercial and Domestic sectors. It is planning on completing five more multi-dimensional dams to cover the growing needs of the power sector.
WAPDA’s goal is focused on developing clean energy that is affordable for the citizens to bring down the power tariff keeping in view the consumers. The company has a self-governing network .

The candidates must apply from the country however, the selected candidates will be posted in Pakistan. WAPDA is hiring Director General, Director, Junior Engineer, IT Officer, IT Assistant, Assistant – Admin, Store In-charge, Communication Technician, Assistant Network, GIS Operator, Patwari, Jr Engineer Civil, Jr Geologist, Jr Seismologist/Geophysicist, Jr Engineer Agriculture, Assistant Director Environment, Research Officer, Assistant Research Officer, and Sub Engineer Civil.
Male and female applicants are eligible. FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, AJK, Sindh, Punjab, and Disabled Person quotas are briefly described in the WAPDA Career Ad.
These opportunities are opening on a Regular Basis. The Eligibility Criteria of these positions require B.E, BSc, Intermediate, MSc, DAE, Relevant Field Diploma, Matriculation, and Master’s Degree Qualifications in the same domain holding strong previous experience.
Educational Degrees must be recognized by the HEC and the Pakistan Engineering Council PEC. Professionals must review the ad for complete information before visiting the PTS website for applications.
This WAPDA Ad is available on both websites PTS and WAPDA. Written Tests shall be conducted by the PTS and interviews will be conducted by WAPDA. The initial appointment shall be on a probation period of one 01 year.
No further age relaxation shall be granted except 03 years of age relaxation to the candidates belonging to Buddhist Community, Recognized Tribes of Tribal Areas, GB, and AJK.
A ten years age relaxation shall be admissible to disabled persons applying against the disabled person quota.
